In this article, I propose 3 different methods to add people to Telegram.

When you log in to Telegram for the first time, your contacts are synchronised with the application.

In other words, you will be able to see a list of your contacts who have Telegram.

You can do this by navigating to Settings > "Contacts".

The "Contacts" page will only show your contacts who have Telegram.

You will therefore not be able to see all your contacts.

However, you can invite your contacts who do not have Telegram to join.

Once they have joined Telegram, you will be able to see their contact on the "Contacts" page.

But what if you don't have the person's contact?

If you don't have a person's contact details, you can always add them using another method.

In this guide, you will learn how to add someone on Telegram in 2022.

Telegram allows you to choose a username on the application.

If you do, people will be able to find you by your username without needing your phone number.

You can therefore add someone on Telegram without their number.

This is similar to a username on social media.

1. Add someone by their Telegram username

The first method is to add someone to Telegram by their username.

However, the person must have a Telegram username.

Otherwise, you will not be able to find it on the application.

If the person does not have a Telegram username/pseudonym, you should ask them to get one.

For create a username on TelegramIf you want to use the "Settings" option, you must select "Settings" in the navigation bar (3 horizontal bars).

In your Account settings, you will be able to choose a Telegram username by selecting "Username".

If you see "None" in Username, then you do not currently have a username on Telegram.

Select "User name" and enter the name/pseudonym you wish to use on Telegram in the "Your user name" field.

Telegram tells us that : "You can choose a username on Telegram. Other people will be able to find you by that name and contact you without knowing your phone number.

You can use letters, numbers, and underscores (dash 8). The minimum length is 5 characters.

Once the person has a Telegram username/pseudonym, you need to ask them for it.

Then, select "Contacts". in the bottom navigation bar.

Once you have selected "Contacts", the contacts page opens.

On the contacts page, you will see a list of your contacts who are on Telegram.

You will also see a search bar at the top of the page.

First, select the search bar at the top of the page.

The search bar allows you to add a person on Telegram by their username.

Search for the person's username/pseudonym in the search bar.

Then press the search result of the person you want to add.

By selecting the person, you open a private discussion with them.

You can then add them by sending them a message.

It is enough to send a message to add it to Telegram!

Once you have sent a message to them, their contact information will be displayed in your chats.

2. Invite your friends to join Telegram

The second method is to invite your friends to join Telegram.

If you already have someone's contact, you can invite them to join Telegram.

Firstly, select " Contacts This is the first time you will see a "new" button in the navigation bar.

This will open the contacts page where you can see a list of your contacts who are on Telegram.

Your contacts who are not on Telegram will not appear in the list.

You should therefore invite them to join Telegram.

To invite your contacts to join Telegram, select "Invite friends"..

After selecting "Invite Friends", the Invite Friends" page opens.

On this page you will see a list of your contacts who are not on Telegram.

First, search for the contact you want to invite to Telegram using the search bar.

Then, press their contact to select them.

Once you have selected the people you wish to invite to Telegram, press the "Invite x contacts" button at the bottom of the page.

Your selected contacts will then be invited to Telegram!

If they join Telegram, you will receive a notification that they have joined.

In addition, you will be able to see their contact details on the "Contacts" page.

3. Find people nearby (geolocation)

The third method is to add people nearby on Telegram.

Telegram has a "Find people nearby" function.

This feature allows you to quickly add people nearby who are also viewing this feature.

You can also discover local discussion groups.

First of all, select "Contacts". in the bottom navigation bar.

This will open the contacts page which displays your contacts who are on Telegram.

Then, select "People nearby".

After selecting "¨People nearby", you need to allow Telegram to track your location.

Otherwise, you will not be able to use this function.

Select the "Allow Access" button to allow Telegram to locate you.

After selecting "Allow Access", a pop-up window opens.

This window contains 3 options: "Allow once", "Allow while using the application" and "Do not allow".

Select "Allow while using the application" to allow Telegram to track your location only while you are using the application.

Once you have allowed Telegram to track your location, the "People Nearby" page opens.

On this page you will see a list of people in your vicinity who have Telegram.

You can also see how far they are from you.

Select 'Show more' to expand the list of people in your vicinity.

Now you can add people by sending them a message!

When you send them a message, you will be able to see them on the "Cats" page.
