Given:
Two cubes each of volume 343 cu. cm are joined end to end
Formula Used:
Volume of cube = side3
Total surface area of cuboid = 2(length × breath + breath × height + height × length)
Calculation:
Volume of each cube = 343
Volume of cube = side3
⇒ Side of cube = 3√343
⇒ Side of cube = 7cm
Total surface area of cuboid = 2(length × breath + breath × height + height × length)
When two cubes are putt side by side, then length = 7 + 7 = 14 cm
Height = 7 cm
Breadth = 7 cm
∴ Total surface area = 2(14 × 7 + 7 × 7 + 14 × 7)
⇒ 2 (98 + 49 + 98)
⇒ 490
∴ Surface area of cuboid is 490 cm2Ace your Quantitative Aptitude and Mensuration preparations for Solid Figures with us and master Two Figures for your exams. Learn today!
