The guys from Firemonkeys http://www.firemonkeys.com.au are on the job, and these guys aren’t messing around. The studio includes teams that already nailed driving with the Real Racing series and knocked it out of the park with their spectacular phone version of Hot Pursuit. We’re excited, and you should be too. And we know they love Need for Speed, because this is their office:

And the coolest part? Everything you do in the game will earn you Speed Points. Earn more than your friends to become the Most Wanted, and because everything’s linked via EA’s Origin, you can compete across platforms. It doesn’t matter whether you’re playing on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or iOS, you always earning and always competing.

The only issue? Grinning like a nutcase after sticking it to the cops or your friends on the bus to work.

Need for Speed Most Wanted is yet another version of EAs popular racing game series, which includes titles such as Need for Speed Undercover and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.

The premise of Need for Speed Most Wanted is the same as the original console and PC game of the same name. You need to compete in races and speed challenges, finishing as quickly as possible while avoiding the wrath of the cops who chase you, set up road blocks and lay down spike strips in an effort to stop you. This mobile version does not have the same open world structure as the PC and console versions.

Need for Speed Most Wanted has all the classic ingredients of a NFS game. The 3D graphics are slick, there are more than 35 real life dream cars, the soundtrack is bursting with great songs, and there are lots of different types of race, although they aren't particularly varied in terms of their design.

In Need for Speed Most Wanted you start off behind the wheel of very modest cars but as you progress you earn money and unlock new cars, meaning you can acquire the likes of the SRT Viper GTS, Porsche 911 Carrera S and the Hummer H1 Alpha.

Driving in Need for Speed Most Wanted is very comfortable. The default mode is based around tilting to steer, though you can change this for touch-based control if you prefer. Nitros are activated by touching and holding the bottom of the screen. You don't need to worry about accelerating, braking or changing gear as this is done automatically. It would've been nice to have these options, but since Need for Speed Most Wanted is a pure arcade racing game rather than a driving simulation, this can be forgiven.

If you enjoy racing games and particularly if you're a fan of the NFS series, Need for Speed Most Wanted is one not to be missed.

The ninth installment in a legendary racing game franchise created by Electronic Arts company. After two Underground games, featuring illegal night street races, the franchise went back to its roots, combining ideas from the two most recent titles with classic elements. The players goal is to climb to the top of a black list of the most wanted drivers. Again you get to explore a huge virtual city, taking on different racing challenges. These include circuit, sprint, drag, elimination, time trial, speed challenge, and police pursuit. After completing enough of these you can challenge subsequent drivers from the black list. Apart from elements typical for the series, such as licensed cars and diverse soundtrack, the game features complex car customization, both in terms of appearance and performance.
