How to move apps to SD card on Samsung tablet A7

@landie57: In order to move media files to your SD card, please swipe up from the Home Screen > Samsung (folder) > My files > Images > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Edit > Select the images you'd like to move, or select 'All' in the top left > Move > Tap the back button > SD Card > Select a folder, or create a new one > Move Here. Most applications are restricted to internal storage only, so I recommend utilising your SD card for your personal media files, and leaving your internal storage free to house your apps and app data. I hope this helps. 

Ok, since the Tab A7 is brand new. Is your SD card brand new? Can you format your SD card?

***NOTE: if you have important data, please backup your SD Card first

Try format your SD Card

- Open Settings -> Device Maintenance -> Storage -> SD card

- Click 3 dots on top right -> Storage settings

- Under portable storage, click SD card

- Click Format (Again, make sure you backup your data on SD card before you click Format, all data on card will erase and not recoverable.)

Once finish format, reboot your Tab A7, then try again and see if the app able to move to SD Card.

Hi chefgarry,Thanks for your response. It is not possible to move/transfer apps from internal memory to the SD card if the option is not available.

Important: Only the developer of the application can offer the possibility to move or not an app to a MicroSD card. Samsung is not preventing it by any means! For technical reasons, having an application on a SD card has negative effects on its performance (it affects the speed of data transfer). If the negative effect is too important for the app's optimal performance, its developer might decide not to offer this option.

I'm thinking of getting this tablet, but I've read that people have not been able to move their apps to the SD card. I'd be worried about running out of space for apps.
